The Instructional Designer is responsible for designing and developing engaging e-learning content for the Terranova Security Awareness Training Library.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop engaging end-to-end learning solutions that meet the company’s product development objectives and customer training needs in cybersecurity awareness
• Liaise with SMEs to gather learning needs and concepts for content creation and collaborate throughout the design and development process for content validation
• Write and edit eLearning module storyboards and narration scripts and create engaging and impactful content aligned with learning objectives
• Select appropriate formats and vehicles (e-learning, audio, video, infographics) according to content and target audience
• Prepare all learning materials such as participant and reference guides
• Seek and integrate stakeholder feedback into storyboards during the revision process
• Clearly communicate critical visual concepts to the Terranova Security designer(s) and integrator(s) to ensure content resonates with end users
• Support strategy and execution of other Content-related initiatives, including:

• Course and module content creation
• Copyediting
• Integration of customer feedback on eLearning content

• Participate in multiple learning projects varying in size and complexity
• Assess, evaluate, and propose solutions plans to improve current cybersecurity training programs

Requirements:

• Post-secondary degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology or related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Instructional design and within an eLearning industry
• Current and relevant knowledge of instructional design process, learning styles, and instructional techniques
• Excellent writing and editing skills in English, and working knowledge of French with ability to work in a bilingual environment
• Creative thinker who’s not afraid to think outside the box and generate new content ideas or concepts
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight project deadlines
• Highly collaborative mindset who’s open to giving and taking feedback constructively across multiple projects and teams
• Excellent time management and prioritization skills
• Able to take initiative and complete projects autonomously
• Able to synthesize content briefs and quickly grasp concepts related to cybersecurity, IT, and big data
• Experience working with cloud-based productivity suites like Sharepoint
• Experience working with e-learning software (e.g., Articulate, Rise, etc.)
