We are currently seeking a Financial Controller to join the Finance team. Reporting directly to the VP of Finance, the Financial Controller will be responsible for:

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and coordinate the operational functions relating to accounting;
• Ensure adequate internal control and compliance with applicable laws (tax and others);
• Produce financial statements according to deadlines;
• Supervise the complete accounting cycle – Receivable, Payable, Collection, Bank and credit card reconciliation, Cash flow
• Perform month-end analyzes and balance sheet items – Prepaid expenses, Subsidy receivable, Acquisitions and Amortizations, Accrued expenses
• Analyze financial and performance gaps (Budget vs Current), follow-up with managers
• Calculation of deferred revenue / Work in progress
• Calculation of commissions quarterly
• Oversee the annual budget process
• Production of GST/QST reports / CNESST declaration
• Preparation of grant files (SRDE credit)Preparation of intangible asset analyzes (Platform and Content Development)
• Other related tasks

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting or equivalent or any combination of education and relevant experience;
• A minimum of 5 years of experience as Financial Controller;
• CPA accounting designation will be considered an asset;
• Bilingualism (French and English) is absolutely necessary;
• Mastery of the Microsoft Office suite;
• Rigor and attention to detail;
• Organized, versatile, proactive;
• Results oriented, strong analytical skills.
